Common questions about Logivations and W2MO.
What we do, how W2MO works and what working together could look like — the key answers at a glance.
Company
What does Logivations do?
Logivations is a consulting and technology company based in Munich and the developer of the W2MO platform. We combine logistics expertise with mathematics, artificial intelligence and software. We help companies plan and run their supply chains, warehouses, production logistics and real-time processes more efficiently.
How long has Logivations been around?
Logivations was founded in Munich in 2010. Since then we have delivered more than 800 projects, and W2MO now has more than 30,000 users.
Who does Logivations work with?
Our customers include retailers and e-commerce businesses, manufacturers and industrial companies, and logistics service providers.
Does Logivations offer software or consulting?
Both. We run projects with our own consultants, provide W2MO as software, or combine the two. Many customers start with a consulting project and then go on to use W2MO on their own.
Is Logivations vendor-independent?
Yes. W2MO plugs into your existing system landscape and isn't tied to any specific warehouse management system, conveyor technology or vehicle manufacturer.
W2MO
What is W2MO?
W2MO is a web-based platform for planning, simulation, optimisation and real-time operations in logistics. It brings strategic network planning, warehouse and production planning, and day-to-day operations together in a single system.
At its core is a digital twin of your network, warehouse or production area. Once operations are live, this becomes a real-time twin: continuously updated with data from IT systems and cameras, it shows vehicles, load carriers and processes as they happen.
What is a digital twin in W2MO?
The digital twin is a data-driven model of your layout, SKUs, orders and processes. W2MO uses it in two ways. As a planning model, it helps you plan new sites, simulate process changes and optimise operations. As a real-time twin, built on the same foundation, it is continuously updated with live data — for example from your warehouse management system or from cameras. This lets you track vehicles and objects as they move and spot bottlenecks early.
How does the real-time twin differ from the planning model?
The real-time twin is continuously updated with live data, for example from your warehouse management system or from cameras. That means you can follow vehicles and objects as they move and identify potential bottlenecks before they become a problem.
Does W2MO replace my warehouse management system?
No. W2MO usually works alongside your existing warehouse management system or SAP EWM, WM and LES. Your leading system stays as it is; W2MO adds planning, simulation and optimisation capabilities on top.
How is artificial intelligence used in W2MO?
AI plays a role in several areas: building and analysing models, recognising vehicles and objects in camera images, and checking data quality. Through an MCP server, language models such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini can also work directly with a customer's model. Users can ask questions in plain language, trigger analyses or run scenarios.
Services and collaboration
What challenges does Logivations typically help with?
Our work falls into three main areas:
- Logistics network optimisation: visualising your existing network, site planning, consolidating warehouse locations and comparing scenarios in terms of cost, service level and carbon footprint.
- Intralogistics and production logistics: planning and optimising new or existing warehouse and production operations, layout and process simulation, capacity and bottleneck assessment, slotting, picking routes, workforce planning and 3D container optimisation.
- Real-time twin and operations: an up-to-the-minute view of the warehouse based on live data, camera-based localisation and recognition of vehicles, load carriers and objects, AI-supported pallet inspection, and control and monitoring of autonomous mobile robots. This enables scan-free logistics, automatic bookings, vendor-independent fleet management, a forklift guidance system and navigation for AGVs and AMRs, among other things.
How can we work together?
That depends on how much you want to handle in-house. Options range from a consulting project run entirely by Logivations, through a mix of consulting and your own use of W2MO, to building an internal team that works with W2MO independently — with our support whenever it's needed.
Technology and operations
How is W2MO connected to SAP or other systems?
For SAP, a dedicated SAP connector exchanges data in both directions. Other warehouse management and ERP systems can be connected via a REST interface or file-based data exchange. Vehicles and AGVs can be integrated via VDA 5050. We'll work out with you which option best fits your existing system landscape.
How are camera images and personal data handled?
In camera-based applications, the focus is on capturing objects and vehicles. People in the camera images are pixelated before the images are transmitted to the server, so they cannot be recognised there. The solutions are designed to be implemented in compliance with data protection requirements.
Training, support and contact
Can I try W2MO for free?
Yes. At w2mo.logivations.com you can sign up for a free trial account and explore the system for yourself.
What training options are available?
We offer live online training in small groups (beginner and advanced), as well as an e-learning package combining video training with workshops. For customers who want to use W2MO on their own in the long term, we help build up an in-house team of W2MO experts step by step.
What support do I get when working with W2MO?
Customers usually have a dedicated contact at Logivations, and we provide conceptual and technical support whenever you need it. Software maintenance includes regular updates that keep the system stable and secure and continue to develop it further.
How can I get in touch?
The easiest way is through our contact form or by phone at +49 89 2190 975 – 0. We'd also be happy to show you W2MO in a live demo.
